Adding Custom To Our Homes When Working To A Estimated Expense

Thinking about home decor ideas for living room : When we think about our homes we can consider bathroom cabinets and vanities as well as many other things or course. There are many methods that we can make use of in order to decorate our homes, chiefly when ones finds themselves having to work to a estimated expense. We really do not have to have a lot of money to make our homes look nice and chic and many of the things we can do is to shop second hand, make use of family members and make do with using less than perfect items as well as many other things.
If we are hoping to redecorate our homes but you are on a tight estimated expense then we need not worry about hiring someone to come in and help us. This is where our family and friends can come in and assist.

We will be needing many things to help us with our homes including things such as air filter cross reference and when we are going through the redecorate of our homes and some of the things we can do is to maybe hold a party to help us with our efforts of painting, laying tile, or anything else that we may have in mind. Friends and family are always willing to come and help with a decoration project and if you provide the food and drinks then they usually will never say no. Other things to contemplate when we find ourselves on a estimated expense is that is may well be best to be flexible and maybe look to shop around at second hand stores and find really nice furniture, paintings, rugs, and more.

If you are willing to shop used it will surprise us some of the neat items such as air filters for car we can find at these places that we can use that will make our homes look fabulous. We might also want to think about finding less than perfect merchandise.

Again, when thinking about our homes we can think about many things such as
greenhouse gardening for beginners or even gardening tips for beginners and when thinking about the indoors we can of course go to furniture stores and find defective furniture that is still brand new for very low prices. Some of the furniture might have a scratch that is barely noticeable at an excellent price. Some of the furniture you cannot even see the defect and it is brand new. When you are on a budget you have to think cheap. Use your friends and family members to help you and find low cost items that are not so perfect or second hand.

Lime And Yard Care

When you look at your lawn, what do you see? Well, grass of course! But have you ever considered the importance of what’s underneath, namely, the soil? Healthy soil is the basis for that emerald green carpet we call our lawn. With this in mind, it’s a good idea to talk with your yard care service and see if your lawn can benefit from a lime application.

Why You May Need a Lime Treatment
Turf grasses do not grow well in highly acidic soils. Acid conditions in lawn soil can occur due to misuse of high nitrogen fertilizers; introduction of excessive amounts of organic soil conditioner, such as compost or peat moss, and by needles dropped from evergreen bushes and trees.
You may have heard the terms “sweet soil” and “sour soil” before? Sour soil has too much acid in it, whereas sweet soils are overly alkaline. Extremes on either end are not favorable, however.

Now, at this point, let’s all remember back to 8th grade chemistry class… …are you with me? Remember that pH is measured from 1-14, with 7 being neutral? Good, keep that in mind for a little while.
Just like liquids in the chemistry lab, soil with a reading of less than pH 7.0 is acidic and soil with a reading greater than pH 7.0 is alkaline. Most turf grasses grow best between pH 6.5 and pH 7.0. That’s near neutral in case you were wondering!

Testing Your Soil pH
You can buy soil testing kits online or at your local garden center and use them to test your soil pH. I recommend you test several areas of the lawn as levels can fluctuate based on surrounding planting such as evergreens and also my runoff from streets and sidewalks.
You can also call your local lawn care service and have them conduct a sampling for you. However, most lawn care pros already know the average soil pH for the areas they service and can most times let you know immediately if lime is an option for your lawn.

What Exactly Does Lime Do for Lawns?
Two important elements that help maintain the balance in the soil are calcium and magnesium. Those two elements together are lime! (you just can’t forget that 8th grade chemistry!)
Acidic soil is not necessarily useless, but is a sign that the supplies of calcium and magnesium are low and need replenishing. What’s more, high acidity or low pH levels may also cause other nutrients to be un-usable to grass plants. A good example if this is iron, which makes grass a deep-blue-green color. Iron binds up and becomes unusable with soil is highly acidic. The greater the acidity of the soil, the greater the need for lime.

More About Lime for Lawns
Lime is NOT a fertilizer product, but more of a soil amendment or conditioner. Here’s what it helps with:
* Corrects soil acidity (low pH)
* Furnishes important plant nutrients-calcium and magnesium
* Promotes availability and use of major plant nutrients and micro nutrients.
* It increases bacterial activity in the soil which promotes more air exchange, thus aerating the root system. This benefit is often overlooked.

Applications of lime on existing lawns are best applied in Fall and Spring because of cooler temperatures and readily available moisture. Ask your lawn care provider about lime treatments and when they recommend scheduling.
If you have large evergreen trees in your lawn and no grass will grow beneath them, be sure to mention this when you call as this may require further lime treatments.

Finally, too much lime can be as damaging to lawn grasses as the lack of it. Lime is not a cure-all for all lawn problems but is an essential fundamental step for soil health and the overall health of your turf.

Fight the New World Order with Global Non Compliance

Fight The New World Order with Global Non Compliance

Understand your enemy, and understand the weapons they use. Then use those same weapons against them. The money system is the head of the snake. Cut the head off the snake and the rest of it will whither and die. There need be No violence, no guns, no banners, no slogans, no group think, just a united act of global non compliance. Remember that it is much easier to fight for principles than to live up to them and it takes a far braver man to stand up for what is right and spit in the face of authority than it does to blindly follow orders due to fear of the consequences. Understand that we are all one and the key to real change and unity in this world lies with love. It is time for the people of the world to stop and realise that the divisions that supposedly exist amongst us are an illusion. There IS NO division and its time for everyone to understand the truth of this. It is through the constantly promoted illusion of division that the system is able to function but in order for it to do so, it needs public compliance. Stop complying with it and you will shut it down. Its time for us all to collectively stand together and address the root cause of the problems.

February 18, 1909: Death of Geronimo

The Rocky reported the death of another legendary Western figure on Feb. 18, 1909. The not-so-complimentary headline and story, with a large photo, were found on page 4:

Geronimo, Apache Scourge, Dies,

Still Bitterly Hating Palefaces

Burial of 86-Year-Old Chieftain Captured by Gen. Miles Will

Be Conducted With Christian Ceremonies at Fort Sill

“LAWTON, Okla.. Feb. 17. – Geronimo, the noted Indian chief, died today in the hospital at the Fort Sill army post, where he has been held for twenty-two years as a prisoner of war. He died of pneumonia after two days illness.

“To the last Geronimo was full of hatred for the white man. . . . Geronimo was captured with his band at Skeleton canon, Ariz., by General Nelson A. Miles, who, with his soldiers, had pursued him for months. News of Geronimo’s death was sent out from Lawton, which was named after the late Henry F. Lawton, the general who, as a member of Miles’ command, led the 3,000-mile chase that resulted in the chief’s surrender.”

The photo of the Apache chief apparently was taken at the request of Miles, who told of Geronimo’s capture in a second story:

” ‘I got pretty well acquainted with Geronimo at the St. Louis fair,’ ” the report quoted Miles. ” ‘I had his picture taken. The picture shows him with a hat on. Apaches never wore head covering, not even a feather in their hair. The blanket he has over his shoulder is one I gave him.’ ”

Beneath the photo, the Rocky wrote the caption:

CHIEF GERONIMO, “THE RED DEVIL,” WHO IS DEAD.

Death and politics

It wasn’t exactly a “big news day,” as they say in the business, the day Geronimo’s death was reported. The front page led with these stories:

* The issue of a warrant for the arrest of New York World publisher Joseph Pulitzer, charged with libeling Teddy Roosevelt;

* A girl found beaten and lashed to the foot of a bathtub in a Chicago hotel;

* A woman thrown from a Denver tram, who died after tramway employees delayed calling for aid.

‘Short and ugly word’

In the same edition, Denver Mayor Robert Speer was attacked for a remark he made in an interview about tourist travel to California.

“The ’shorter and uglier word’ is being applied to Mayor Speer because of his knock against Denver and Colorado. . . . He asserted that ‘not one-tenth of the Eastern people who go to California see Denver and Colorado.’ Railroad men are emphatic in saying that the mayor didn’t know what he was talking about.”

“Short and ugly word” apparently was a phrase used in the day to condemn “testimony from the absolute.”

Or they could have just said “bull.”

Advice On Outdoor Landscaping

Home Improvements can be a real pain if you do not know where to start. Inside, or outside the house? Let’s start outside. The garden or the yard is a great place to start your home improvements. After all the outside of your house is the first thing people see when they visit. So let’s make a great first impressions.

Sometimes a little more landscaping is exactly what your home needs. Maybe, and that’s a great thing. In reality you should be highly excited about it because nothing is more fun than landscaping, not only will you have a blast as you plant and rearrange your plants and flowers, but your vision will be in overdrive.

Outdoor Landscaping

To reach a new level of beauty in your landscaping project, start by layering your garden beds. Your garden is the first thing that individuals will see when they come to your house and giving a grand tour that includes a fabulous garden is always fun and exciting. You will be the talk of the neighbors, and for all the right reasons this time, when you do some really good garden landscaping.

Backyard Landscaping

Layering the garden of your garden is uncomplicated. Finding out what kind of flowers you are planting is very important. The layout of your garden landscaping will be affected by many things including your choice of flowers and other plants. An example is not to place any taller plants in front of shorter plants. Plainly you should make a rough graph, where you want things laid out, before you begin landscaping your garden. This way, your work is kept to a very minimum level. Use this way as you go to greatly reduce problems and finish your garden landscaping faster.

Home Improvement

You should have around 3 layers while layering. The back row should face north, if possible, and it should have the taller plants and flowers in the back and then descend down to the smaller ones. When we purchase plants for landscaping a lot of the time we get baby plants, this is the trick to this type of landscaping. You will have to have to ask an employee at your local landscaping center how large the plants will grow. If you want success in landscaping, this is vital. You need to plan so that the tallest part of your garden is at the rear, when layering your garden landscaping.

The layering affect of your landscaping project will add depth and make your garden much more interesting to look at. This will lead to successful landscaping.

Now That It Is Winter, Think About Indoor Landscaping

It’s cold outside and there is just no getting around the fact that us lawn and garden lovers are going to be stuck inside for the long haul. And that is when it become apparent that we need a “green fix” during the colder seasons. About the only thing you can’t fit into an indoor garden are deluxe mayan hammocks, but other than that, the sky can be the limit (or the ceiling).

A lot of people stick a fake tree in a corner, dust the leaves off every week, and call it indoor gardening, but indoor gardening has grown into much more than that lately. There are also a lot of people that thinks plants belong and should stay inside, but there are many reasons for starting an indoor garden. For instance, plants don’t only remove carbon dioxide from the air, they also remove many poisonous toxins and pollutants as well. Indoor gardening will result in beautiful decoration in your house as well as cleaner air.

When picking out plants for indoor gardening, make sure the plants are adaptable and will be able to thrive in the conditions and setting in your house. Consider how much time you will be able to spend caring for the plants, how much light your house offers, and also how much money you want to spend on your indoor garden. If you are on a low budget, start with seeds or cuttings. If you have a little more money to dish out you can buy a plant that is already grown. Another thing to consider is if you want a plant that can be displayed all year or just for a season. Herb gardens are a good thing for indoor container gardening; they are both attractive and edible. They will grow pretty quick and you won’t have to wait a long time to see results. Some popular herbs, especially for cooking, are chives, dill, sage, thyme, and oregano.

When indoor gardening, consider the amount of experience you have before choosing a plant. There are some plants that are stronger and harder to kill and therefore better for a novice gardener. Examples are Fatsia, Cyperus, Scandens, Popular Succulents, Coleus, and Bromeliads.

Some things, such as the basic rules of maintaining plants, are different in indoor gardening that in a regular outdoor setting. Since plants won’t get the sunlight they do outdoors, lighting is essential. You need to know exactly how much light your plants need and pick plants that only need medium to low light, such as ferns or Philodendrons, unless you plan to supply artificial lighting. If you buy a plant already grown, wherever you get it probably has better lighting than your house so you will need to “condition” your plant and gradually reduce the light it receives. Once you get the plant inside, make sure and rotate the plant to encourage upright growth.

Just because you are indoor gardening, don’t think the plants don’t have to have water; they still do. How often you water, once again, depends on what type of plant you have. Make sure the water can drain out of the bottom of the pot and try to use water that is about the same as the temperature of the room. Also pay attention to temperature in your house in order to ensure healthy plants. A 10-15 degree range won’t hurt any plants, but rapid changes could cause damage.

Indoor gardening is not all that difficult; in fact, it is pretty much the same as outdoor. There are even some advantages to indoor gardening. For example, you won’t have to worry as much about bugs and insects bothering your plants. You also won’t have to worry about wind or frost reeking havoc on your garden.

Gadsden Purchase

The Gadsden Purchase was one of the most curious real estate deals in which Uncle Sam has ever taken part. James Gadsden (1788-1858), whose name the purchase bears, was a grandson of Christopher Gadsden (1724-1805), a South Carolina Revolutionary soldier and statesman who was captured by the British at Charleston and confined as a prisoner for ten months at St. Augustine. James Gadsden soldiered for several years under General Andrew Jackson and it was he who seized the papers that led to the trial and execution of Robert C. Ambister and Alexander Arbuthnot in Florida in 1818, an incident that strained British-American diplomatic relations almost to the breaking point. Gadsden was appointed by President Monroe as the commissioner in charge of placing the Seminole Indians on reservations.

While living as a painter in Florida, he championed nullification and lost the patronage of President Jackson. He had long been interested in promoting railroads and upon his return to South Carolina in 1839 was chosen president of the South Carolina Railroad Company. His pet dream was to knit all Southern railroads into one system and then to connect it with a Southern transcontinental railroad to the Pacific, to make the West commercially dependent on the South instead of the North. After engineers advised Gadsden that the most direct and practicable route for the Southern transcontinental railroad would be south of the United States boundary, he made plans to have the Federal Government acquire title to the necessary territory from Mexico.

Project Aiko: The sexy virgin robot built to serve man

From: dvice.com

Anyone who had any doubt that the future of humanoid robots would inevitably veer towards the seedy side need only look to the example of Le Trung and his fembot Aiko. The Vietnamese-Canadian tinkerer put Aiko together and controls her functions using software he calls the Biometric Robot Artificial Intelligence Neural System (BRAINS). Le Trung claims Aiko can read newspapers, check the weather, distinguish between different medicines, detect 300 faces per second and answer airport arrival/departure time questions.

The inventor also claims that due to an array of sensors, Aiko can also function as an intimate companion, but on his website he states, “Yes Aiko is still a virgin, and no I do not sleep with her.” But as the development of the currently wheelchair bound robot advances, we’ll be waiting to see that line of text mysteriously disappear from his website. Le Trung’s plans for the future of Aiko would offer the robot for public consumption at around $15,000-$17,000, followed by a newer singing robot called Project EVE. You can see video of Aiko in action here, and find more interesting (creepy?) information on the Project Aiko website.
